Learning directly from masterful works of architecture, in the tradition of their creators, is one of the simplest and most effective forms of study. These sketches and measured drawings were completed on site in order to improve documentation and understanding of form, proportion, and detail. The sites and structures depicted were captured around the world in long sittings with precision and attention to detail, in rapid scribbling with time for only crucial characteristics, and everything in between.
